I’m loving me some Friday right now. I do kind of wonder what I love about Fridays so much as to be honest the weekends are not that different when you work from home and you have kids….but I love on Fridays nonetheless. I think it’s probably the slower pace of the weekend, the feeling that you can do more of what you want and less of what you “have” to do. Regardless…happy Friday folks!
Now onto some Friday updating…
What I’ve been reading:
I’m still reading The Color of Light, sort of at a snail’s pace. Maybe I need to read a little more this weekend since I’ve already renewed it once and I need to eventually return it to the library!
Drumroll please…I finally finished We Are Forgiven by A.M. Holmes. It took me forever but I loved it. It was just such a well written book filled with so much great commentary on life (despite some horrific tragedy).
So I’m 2 books into my 25 books of the year goal. I’m a little behind, but luckily have a lot of 1/2 read books in my life so I feel like I can use them as a buffer :).
What I’ve been planning:
I’m still planning March’s Mini ReTreat , so go sign up now. Make the commitment. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT.
Mid Week ReFresh is going strong and you’re always welcome to join! This hour on Wednesday night with amazing women continues to be such a gift to me. You don’t want to miss. You can sign up for 1 week or 4. It doesn’t matter and we do have a drop in rate.
For those of you who feel like you need to do this but just haven’t made it happen and you aren’t sure how often you can come, I just started offering a 5 program pass. You can pay the pre-registration rate and drop-in when you’re available! Best of both worlds, what’s better than that?!
What I’ve been listening to:
I also re-discovered this old favorite, Heaven’s Right Here by Jeb Loy Nichols. This song basically melts my heart. I love it. I love everything about it. I was introduced to this song by an all time favorite person (my college campus minister) and later introduced it to my sister and it’s sort of become our mantra in life. Being in the yard of someone you love is truly heaven-like.
Hoping your weekend’s are filled with good books, good music, good people, and good feelings.
Happy Friday peeps.
Hope this weekend is filled with all the things you need and none of the things that drive you bonkers 🙂
