This morning I took my regular seat at the coffee shop I love and I stared at my to do list. I thought man I need a retreat. I felt somewhat overwhelmed and unsure. Am I spending my times doing the right things? What will bear fruit? What will make me feel alive and like I’m living my purpose? What will benefit others and allow them to feel loved and supported? I started to feel those familiar feelings of fear and worry creeping up and then it happened as it often does in unexpected ways. I got confirmation. God spoke to me and reminded me through a friend.
The Friendship Cure
I have a great friend from my High School days and we stay in touch through a funny monthly ritual that has become a friendly competition of who can text Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit first for the prize of good luck for the month. Since it’s the first today we had our monthly text conversation and I just offhandedly shared what it’s like going out on your own in business and taking a leap and his reply left me at the coffee shop with tears in my eyes.
I know that we all go through times when we are unsure, when we feel like we’re just schlepping it through life, and hoping for the best. Sometimes it’s lonely and scary. The thing is God is always trying to tell us how loved we are, how perfect, how wonderful. Sometimes it’s hard to hear that voice because we’ve become so accustomed to ignoring it or we’ve forgotten to listen or look. When a friend or loved one makes you feel that love, it’s God. When you have those moments where you feel so in touch, so connected, it’s God. That’s the stuff of grace, right there. You can feel it on Monday morning at 8 am in a coffee shop, promise, I just did.
The thing is if we NEVER make the time over the course of our lives it becomes harder and harder to know how. I’m here to tell you it’s never too late. If you feel like you’re missing this love it’s not because you are it’s because sometimes our world is so loud and we get distracted. I’ve got the perfect thing for you!
Is it time for a ReTreat?
So it may be a little different than your typical Super Bowl tradition but I’m thinking I have the best thing for you this Super Bowl Sunday- February 7th. Believe me I like beer and wings as much as the next girl (oh yea and football is totally fine, too.) What about if you get to have them after 3 hours of time to spend with awesome women doing amazing activities that will help you to get in touch with your truest hopes and desires and start to realize them.
What if I told you that 3 hours of time to retreat would be just what you need to feel rejuvenated and refreshed? This time will provide the opportunity for you to listen and know and feel loved. What if I said I know that this time will lead you to greater peace, joy , and LOVE? Would you still say you have too much to do? Well the Eagles aren’t playing (shocker), there are great crock pot appetizers you can put in in the morning, and you’ll be home in time for the pre-game commentary (we all know how riveting that can be!)
Sign up here. See you Sunday!
